NBN fixed wireless download speeds have improved significantly over the past year, the ACCC’s latest Measuring Broadband Australia (MBA) quarterly report shows. Speeds in December 2021 were 93.4% of plan speed during all hours and 79.8% of plan speed during the busy hours of 7-11pm.

Not all non connections are capable of delivering the maximum speeds of higher speed NBN plans, and Telstra has apologised for not communicating this properly in the past, and said "we have made significant improvements to how we manage communicating nbn speed information to our customers", so what else does Telstra's California-based global connectivity and platforms exec, Sanjay Nayak have to say about it all?

Fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) provider OptiComm has announced that it is in the final stages of developing Australia’s first Ten Gigabit per Second Passive Optical Network (XGS-PON) – the next generation Passive Optical Network (PON) – allowing residential customers to access a nominal line speed of up to 1Gbps, and commercial customers to reach speeds up to 10Gbps.

Consumer advocate CHOICE is reminding Australians that if they're suffering "ongoing telco issues", it is possible to leave a contract without penalty, but the right steps must be taken.
