CEO Scott Gregson to leave ACCC

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Chair Gina Cass-Gottlieb has announced Chief Executive Officer Scott Gregson will be leaving to take up the role of CEO of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

ACCC welcomes passage of historic merger law

With the passing of the Treasury Laws Amendment (Mergers and Acquisitions Reform) Bill 2024 by the Australian Parliament yesterday, the competition watchdog, the ACCC says it is intensifying its focus to ensure that implementation of the new merger regime is successful when it commences.
