Telstra completes Fetch TV transaction

Telstra has completed its acquisition of a 51.4% interest in Fetch TV.

Telcos Dodo and iPrimus have been ordered to pay $1.5 million and $1 million respectively in penalties for making misleading claims about their NBN broadband speeds.

Australia’s competition watchdog the ACCC is taking court action against retail service providers Dodo and iPrimus alleging they made false or misleading claims about the NBN broadband speeds their customers could achieve during busy evening hours.

Internet service provider Aussie Broadband has topped the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards for the third month in a row, recording a customer service rating of 92%.

Underperforming broadband services are still a problem for some consumers, with a newly publish report revealing that 12.4% of consumers continue to experience underperforming services that “rarely come close to reaching their maximum plan speed”.

Internode tops customer satisfaction award

Internet service provider Internode has won the Internet Service Provider Customer Satisfaction Monthly Award for June with a customer satisfaction rating of 82%.

Second suitor casts hat in the ring for Vocus

Australia's fourth largest telecommunications company Vocus Communications has received a second acquisition bid, from Asian private equity firm Affinity Equity Partners.
