The ACCC has accepted a court-enforceable undertaking from Telstra to address competition concerns relating to the 5G rollout.

Two companies, Optus and Telstra, have won spectrum in the Australian Communications and Media Authority’s (ACMA) latest spectrum auction.

The ACMA has released details of the starting prices for the spectrum to be auctioned in late November or early December.

The limits on the amount of spectrum that can be purchased by the Telco's in the November spectrum auction is creating some vocal comments in the main media.

As reported earlier by iTWire, Australia's Federal Communications Minister, Paul Fletcher, has said 2021 will be "the year of 5G" with the first allocation of mmWave 26Ghz 5G due in April to complement already available 5G services from Telstra, Optus and Vodafone.

The Australian Government has set out its policy objectives for the allocation of two spectrum bands as part of its program to support the delivery of “world class” telecommunications services nationally.
