Telstra to address ACCC's 5G competition concerns

The ACCC has accepted a court-enforceable undertaking from Telstra to address competition concerns relating to the 5G rollout.

The Bank of Queensland has paid a penalty of $133,200 after the competition watchdog, the ACCC, issued it with an infringement notice for allegedly breaching the Consumer Data Right (CDR) Rules by failing to provide a service enabling consumers’ data to be shared.

New Zealand’s competition enforcement agency The Commerce Commission has accepted enforceable undertakings from electricity lines company Eastland Network Limited for overcharging its customers $327,000 in the 2020 assessment period.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has blasted Telstra, Optus, TPG and Dodo for letting down their customers, finding all of the telcos in breach of consumer protection rules after more than 1,500 of their customers were left without services while trying to migrate to the National Broadband Network (NBN).
