Cloud alliance tackles big data

The Open Data Centre Alliance (ODCA) - formed of major end user organisations with a combined annual IT spend of $100 billion plus - which is focussed on the creation of standards for cloud computing and data centres, has turned its attention to big data.

Hitachi Data Systems and Teradata have been listed as one of the 2011 World's Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute. Several other players in the ICT industry also made the list.
