More than 5b now have access to mobile services: GSMA

More than five billion of the world's population are now connected to a mobile network, up from 4.6 billion at the end of 2015, according to a study from the GSM Association released at the United Nations this week.

GSMA dangles $US70b mobile education 'carrot'

Global mobile network operator organisation GSMA has released a report compiled with McKinsey & Co that says education services delivered to mobile devices could earn mobile network operators $US70b by 2020 and revolutionise learning for more than a billion students globally.
