Zscaler, the leader in cloud security, today announced the release of Exposed, the industry's first global report on the state of corporate attack surfaces. Based on data sourced between February 2020 and April 2021, the report provides a first-ever look at the impact of attack surface exposure during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the report, Zscaler notes that as businesses began offering more remote work options, their attack surfaces grew concurrently with their dispersed workforce.

More needs to be done to protect against application security threats, particularly newer threats like bot attacks, API attacks, and supply chain attacks, according to one global security firm.

The market for traditional PCs in Europe, the Middle East and Africa grew by 44.1% in the first quarter of 2021, with sales of 23.9 million unites, the technology analyst firm IDC says, adding that the three months were again affected by COVID-19, leading to consumer (65.7%) and commercial (30.1%) growth.

Global PC shipments in the third quarter of 2020 increased by 3.6%, totalling 7.14 million units, according to preliminary results released by the technology research firm Gartner.
