Is so much fuss warranted over Google Plus?

With Google's Wave and Buzz efforts having suffered a bit of buzzkill, Google is waving goodbye to its previous efforts and saying hello to what it hopes will be a real plus for social networkers.

Extensions arrive in new Chrome for Mac beta

One of the biggest complaints about the Mac version of the Google Chrome browser has been that - unlike its Windows sibling - it didn't support extensions. That's all changed in the latest beta.
Is your Excel spreadsheet recalculating too slowly? Maybe the answer is to move it to a cluster. If Excel isn't your bag, Microsoft has other HPC tricks up its sleeve.
