Blackberry Bold just got bolder at Telstra

A new software upgrade for Telstra customers using the Blackberry Bold means better coverage and higher speeds, particularly in rural areas. But will this change have a large impact, and how does Telstra's pricing compare to the other telcos, and its pricing for the iPhone 3GS?

AVG goes free with 3

3 mobile broadband customers now receive a free 12 month subscription to AVG Internet Security.

Optus is offering the iPhone 3GS for $0 upfront on a (net) $69 plan. The change appears to be in response to a Vodafone offer.

As expected, Telstra has left the unveiling of its prices to the very last minute, refusing to get caught up in the lead up to the launch of a new iPhone, and has even managed some pricing surprises, although nothing to truly match Vodafone’s unlimited voice plan!

As predicted, iPhone 3G S pricing from Vodafone is virtually identical to the pricing it unveiled for the HTC Magic Google Android phone earlier this month, at $0 upfront on a range of plans including unlimited voice and the happy surprise of fee-free tethering in contrast to Optus. What are the details?
