Cisco to Jabra as MD for Australia, NZ

Former Cisco senior manager David Piggott has joined audio solutions provider Jabra to take up the position of managing director for Australia and New Zealand.

Telstra wins $62.5m five year comms contract from AGL

Telstra has been awarded a $62.5m five-year whole of business telecommunications contract by AGL Energy for a wide area IP network to replace AGL's three current data networks and increase capacity between AGL's 12 main sites by between four and 10 times.

Telstra claims that the majority of Australian organisations managing their own Wide Area Networks (WANs) are incurring network operational costs of up to 38 per cent more than they should be, according to research it commissioned into the market.

Is Optus gearing up to get into SaaS?
