Nintendo sells 30 millionth Wii in US

Nintendo is boasting that the Wii video game system has now sold 30 million units in the United States alone. Not bad for less than four years in the market. This makes the Wii as the fastest-selling console in the history of the industry, reaching this milestone 15 months faster than the next best-selling console.

Got to admit here, I was sceptical that a concept dependent on a tool set providing broad editing and then friend sharing of content for a racing game would not be viable on the Nintendo Wii.  But the track editor for the forthcoming TrackMania for Wii is shaping up nicely.
