Nintendo connects with Myer stores

Nintendo has teamed up with Myer to open a gaming area dedicated to Mario and his mates on Wii and DS.  The Nintendo Connection opens tomorrow at the main CBD Sydney retail outlet.  It is a chance for people to waggle before they wallet.

DHS will be doing the wii shuffle

In yet another attempt to avoid good ol' policing, The Department of Homeland (in)Security is looking at using Wii-fit boards to detect nervousness in air passengers.

Five Guitar Hero 5 track packs announced

Still strutting your way through the 85 tracks that are unlocked in Guitar Hero 5, soon there will be five new track packs to shred to.  Everything from classic rock to Wolfmother and Marilyn Manson are included.

Wii Fit Plus living room release date

Calling it a street date seems a little inaccurate; Nintendo has announced the release date for Wii Fit Plus in Australia.  This is an upgrade to the exercise game/activity that has topped charts worldwide, so it is time to start balancing on the board again.

Nintendo confirms Wii price cut

It was a strong rumour going into the Tokyo Game Show and now Nintendo have confirmed a significant price cut to the very popular Wii video game console.  Nintendo also announced release dates for Wii-Fit Plus and New Super Mario Bros.

PS3 sales sniff at the heels of Xbox 360

NPD Group has released the August North American sales for video-game hard and software.  Whilst the Nintendo DS and Wii are still king and queen of the race, the big mover was the PlayStation 3.  Overall however, the industry has suffered its sixth straight month of decline.

Xbox 360 Elite cheaper than PS3 Slim

Microsoft has upped the ante in this new phase of video game console war, whilst Nintendo stand on the sidelines, both Sony with the new PS3 Slim and Microsoft with its revamped and cheaper Xbox 360 line up are slugging it out at retail again.

Playing with Scribblenauts is one of those jaw dropping gaming moments.  And whilst all the action takes place at a sedentary rate and upon the small Nintendo DS screen, the wonder that 5th cell have imbued into this titles cartridge is outstanding.
