Nintendo 3DS gets close to Wii sales record

Nintendo Australia has just released sales figures for the 3DS gaming device.  The glasses free 3D gaming experience seems to be a hit breaking early sales records for hand-held entertainment.

Nintendo 3DS makes the crowd go wild

A couple of days before its release, Nintendo has dropped a 3DS into the iTWire office.  Despite grumblings about price, and the revelation of the 3DS having already been hacked, one thing is for certain, the wow factor of glasses free 3D is fresh and exciting for budding and veteran DS fans.

Razer, prolific producer of gaming peripherals has turned its hardware eye to the handheld gaming market.  At CES this past week the company announced the Switchblade, an Intel Atom powered, full keyboard gaming machine on the go.  Will this be perfect for WoW on the go?

Has the Nintendo DS reached saturation?

Nintendo Australia has announced it has hit 3 million in sales for the DS hand-held gaming device.  In a country of just over 20 million people, and with mobile gaming devices becoming more prevalent , is that it for the venerable DS?  Or will the 3DS excite an all new generation?
