Disney Epic Mickey 2 hands on

Sitting down with Warren Spector’s latest pet project is somewhat daunting, the original game fulfilled Spector’s passion and obsession for all things Mickey Mouse, but managed to be inaccessible to many as a video game.  Can going high definition, and toning down Spector’s insistence on authenticity make Epic Mickey 2 hit a sweet spot of gaming and Disney homage?

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword bundle includes gold

Nintendo is dubbing 2011 the year of Zelda, celebrating 25 years of the franchises existences.  Link has been battling foes in the land of Hyrule, directed by the princess Zelda for a quarter of a century.    As part of the celebrations Nintendo has announced a limited edition for the latest game in the franchise The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, including a rare golden Wii Remote Plus controller.  Settle down however, the Wiimote contains no real gold.

Here is an idea, what do we expect from the next generation of gaming consoles?   They are, apart from the Nintendo Wii U, still a few years away from hitting the market, but already rumours are circulating around what form the next-gen will take.  If Microsoft and Sony were to combine forces, the next game console could make them a bunch of Mony.

Black Eyed Peas on Kinect and Wii

With the success of Ubisoft's Just Dance titles on the Nintendo Wii it was inevitable the concept would be both broadened in platform and appeal.  Hence welcome The Black Eyed Peas Experience, joining Michael Jackson in expanding our dance fun at home in front of the Wii or Xbox 360 Kinect.  Just don't swing those Wii-motes too high you wouldn't want a black eye.

E3 2011: Nintendo removes the TV with Wii U

At the Electronic Entertainment Expo show in Los Angeles, Nintendo has revealed the snazziest piece of new gaming hardware the show has to offer.  Powering up the Wii to high definition levels and introducing a game changing controller that provides an alternate view for each gaming experience.  The Wii U and new touch-screen based controller may silence the Nintendo nay-says.
