'œRampant' iPhone OS 2.2 issues?

Phone Atlas is reporting “rampant” iPhone OS 2.2 issues for some users, from Wi-Fi problems, to missing apps (including Safari, Camera and third party apps), to problems connecting with iTunes, while others report smooth sailing. Yep, it’s the "iPhone OS update gamble", but whether you’re really experiencing problems or not probably depends on the RDF.

Blackberry Storm shows winning form

Wow, that didn’t take long. The iPhone Dev Team strikes again, giving jailbreak freedom to iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 1st-gen users, while iPhone 2G owners get the double whammy of jailbreak and unlock as usual. There’s still no 3G unlock, but if you haven’t updated your original baseband, the iPhone Dev Team could well be delivering an early Christmas present sometime soon!

iPhone 2G and 3G “jailbreak” addicts keen to move to Apple’s iPhone OS 2.1 can already do so on the Mac, but Windows users are patiently awaiting a new version of WinPwn to do so. While it’s not yet available, its author promises delivery “soon”.
