Review: Tomb Raider – In a word, brutal

Lara Croft is back in the best Tomb Raider ever.  This reboot of the series sees Lara at her most vulnerable to begin with, but as the brutality of situation increases, Ms Croft shows her mettle.  Tomb Raider is one of the best games I have played in a long time.

Quick Hits: Aliens: Colonial Marines

“It’s a bughunt”, if only that was a more specific definition of Aliens: Colonial Marines, and not a broader description describing the games coding as well.  Playing through Gearbox and TimeGate’s game over the weekend is not time that I will get back in my life.

I admit it, Dead Space startles me, so it was with the lights burning brightly and the soothing sounds of twittering birds happening nearby that I sat down to play through the Dead Space 3 demo and further content.  iTWire.com then spoke to Dead Space 3 Producer John Calhoun just why he and his team feel the need to scare the controllers from our hands.

Hands On: Fuse – Is it going to blow?

Yes it is reminiscent of an early Xbox game named Brute Force, but having spent some hands on time and speaking to Insomniac’s Creative Director Brian Allgeier, Fuse may be able to surprise gamers.  There is certainly some apprehension about this release, but dig a little under the surface and jaded 3rd person shooter fans, and critics alike may find a lot to like.
