BigAir flies with Nutanix

Wireless broadband supplier BigAir has selected a converged compute and storage platform from Nutanix as it scales up its IT infrastructure.

Pioneering wireless Internet provider BigAir has grown bigger with the acquisition of all shares in Oriel Technologies, expected to complete by year’s end with Oriel to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary.

BigAir boosts revenues & creates new division

BigAir Group revenues rose 51 percent to $5.1m for the half year to 31 December 2010 through a combination of growth of its high margin 'on-net' fixed wireless data services and new revenue from the managed ISP assets of Star-Tech Communications, acquired in July 2010 and which has formed the core of a new division.

Wireless operator BigAir worth twice the price

Investment research firm, MicroEQUITIES has issued a strong buy recommendation on wireless broadband network operator, BigAir (ASX: BGL), saying its shares should be worth twice the price of about eleven cents they are currently trading at.
