Ingram Micro, a global leader in technology solutions, and Scality, a global leader in cyber-resilient storage for the AI era, announced a strategic alliance to advance the distribution of ARTESCA, Scality’s secure, simple object-storage software to better serve the local region. The relationship with Ingram Micro provides channel partners increased access to Scality’s solutions for ransomware protection, hybrid cloud, and AI.
Designed to enhance Scality’s reach within Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific, this collaboration will provide businesses with scalable, secure and cost-effective solutions to manage growing data needs. It will also enable local Scality teams to leverage Ingram Micro’s extensive partner ecosystem and expertise in the region to deliver enterprise-grade storage solutions.
“Data accessibility, durability, and security are some of the most pressing challenges businesses face today,” says Ingram Micro’s Vendor Business Manager, Stuart Murray. “To manage data confidently and effectively, businesses today need the flexibility to adapt to ever-changing data requirements, protect against ransomware, and comply with evolving regulations. The first step for channel partners is to ensure that proper storage and backup solutions are in play. We are pleased to expand our data solutions portfolio with Scality and help our channel partners enhance protection for their businesses and customers.”
Through this agreement, Ingram Micro offers a comprehensive range of support to partners delivering Scality’s solutions across the sales process, ensuring smooth deployment and maximised performance for Scality customers.
“Scality’s relationship with Ingram Micro allows us to leverage their extensive partner ecosystem and expertise in the region,” said Brett Lobwein, Scality Country Manager for Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific. “After successfully expanding our business in the Australian market with our OEM partners, now is the ideal time to bring Ingram Micro Australia on board to enhance our go-to-market strategy through the channel.”
Scality customers will benefit from Ingram Micro’s enablement services, including the resources and training needed to drive customer success. Other benefits include a broad array of alliance vendors, pre- and post-sales expertise, and the new Ingram Micro Xvantage AI-powered digital platform, which simplifies operations and streamline processes to improve customer engagement.
Beyond streamlining transactions, Xvantage simplifies the management of subscriptions, optimising accounting processes, and helping to prevent license expirations. The platform also features robust tools for revenue prediction and tracking, along with an autogenerated renewal function that helps secure customer relationships by providing timely notifications to avoid service disruptions. Additionally, the enhanced quote management system allows partners to tailor offerings quickly, reduce service level agreement (SLA) times, and maintain full visibility into all quotes – ultimately freeing up time for business growth.
“Customers can expect measurable benefits, including cost savings, robust security, and scalability for workloads across core, cloud, and edge environments,” adds Murray. “With access to tailored solutions for hybrid and multi-cloud environments, modernisation projects, such as virtualisation and application upgrades, can be implemented more easily, allowing businesses to optimise performance and future-proof data infrastructure.”
