Southern Cross Cables deploys Ciena GeoMesh Extreme

Southern Cross Cables Network has significantly enhanced the scale, programmability and intelligence of its network by deploying Ciena’s WaveLogic Ai tunable coherent optics and the 6500 T-series solutions.

Xtera wins turnkey submarine system contract

US-based subsea fibre optic solutions provider Xtera has been awarded a contract by the Defence Information Systems Agency, an agency of the US Department of Defence, to build a new regional submarine cable system.

Superloop has announced the acquisition of subsea cable system company SubPartners in a deal which its founder Bevan Slattery says will increase capacity on its subsea cable network to meet growing customer demand.
