Here is an idea, what do we expect from the next generation of gaming consoles?   They are, apart from the Nintendo Wii U, still a few years away from hitting the market, but already rumours are circulating around what form the next-gen will take.  If Microsoft and Sony were to combine forces, the next game console could make them a bunch of Mony.

Duke Nukem Forever demo dated. Yeah right!

Lifted straight from the dusty-with-age 'I'll believe it when I see it' folder comes news of the impending release of a Duke Nukem Forever demo for Xbox, PS3 and PC.  Those brave souls who pre-ordered the game will get first access.

PlayStation Network Breach: What should I do?

Sony Computer Entertainment Australia has responded with words of explanation and advice to PlayStation Network account holders in the wake of breach that leaked data such as email addresses and credit card details from the database.

Sony drops PSP price to AU$190

In the looming shadow of the NGP (Next Generation Portable) Sony has decided to shift some current PlayStation Portable devices (PSP) by dropping the RRP by almost a third.

Sony gets tough with PS3 hackers

Sony has now begun sending letters to those PlayStation 3 owners with the audacity to load on security circumvention software or devices, and then connect to the PlayStation Network.  The Cease and Desist letter indicates that such actions violate the PS3 User Agreement.

The PlayStation Phone to launch in March

No it is not the NGP (Next Generation Portable), nor the PSP 2, it actually isn't even the PlayStation Phone, but it will be a phone from Sony, capable of running PlayStation games without having your fingers get in the way.  It is the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, and it will be available in March.

Sony Vs Apple, could Sony win?

There is another digitised war a-brewin.  And as is nearly always the case lately, Sony and Apple are involved.  The Sony hierarchy are miffed about Apple's blocking of an e-book app that bypassed iTunes content delivery mechanism, and from here the battle has escalated to the point where Sony may pull its vast catalogue of music content from iTunes.

Sony moves 4.1 million PlayStation Move

Perhaps both Sony and Microsoft were correct to jump in with motion controllers for their respective game consoles.  Not only is the Xbox 360 Kinect doing well, but Sony, with the PlayStation Move motion controller is also happy with sales, shipping 4.1 million in the first two months.
