Microsoft Office 2011 SP2 is once again available via AutoUpdate. The company has addressed multiple issues, notably a bug that stopped the conversion to the new Outlook database format.

Office 2011 SP2 AutoUpdate on hold

Microsoft has stopped pushing Office 2011 SP2 via the AutoUpdate mechanism due to problems affecting a minority of users.

Microsoft has released a wide-ranging update for Office for Mac 2011 in the form of Service Pack 2.

This month Microsoft released six bulletins on Patch Tuesday, addressing a total of 11 vulnerabilities. Four of the bulletins are rated critical, so break out any remaining Easter eggs to cheer you up while you get patching.

Microsoft Patch Tuesday: four security bulletins

Microsoft has issued just four security bulletins this month, and only one is regarded as critical. A total of 22 vulnerabilities are addressed.

The first paying custoner for Microsoft's Office 365 cloud service signed up in Australia at 11.55pm last night. Microsoft launched its Office 365 cloud service here in conjunction with Telstra.

Apple's mobile iWork office suite (Pages, Numbers and Keynote) has been available for the iPad from the start, and now it has finally come to the iPhone and iPod Touch, specially tweaked for smaller screens.

Office 2011 SP1 affects some AppleScripts

I don't know how many people will be affected by this, but I've discovered that if you've been sending plain text emails through Outlook 2011 viaAppleScript, you'll need to make a small change to your script(s) after applying Service Pack 1.

Cadac Organice introduces a full product suite update

The updated Cadac Organice product suite includes new features and improvements and is compatible with Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and Office 2010

Microsoft this week issued a dozen security bulletins addressing 22 vulnerabilities in Windows, Internet Explorer, Internet Information Service and Internet Explorer. The company also released a so-called non-security update that has everything to do with security.
