Warning: Excel Zero Day Vulnerability

Microsoft has issued a security advisory regarding a zero day vulnerability which could allow remote code execution upon the opening of an Excel file.

When Microsoft launched Office 2007, it also introduced the new “ribbon” interface, hated by some and loved by others. Screenshots of the Office 14 suite, said to be due for release in 2010, now show the ribbon is everywhere – but will Microsoft update Powerpoint so it matches and betters the “cinema transitions” in Apple’s Keynote?

Want to ride Google Apps reseller train? Hop aboard

Google has taken a step closer to entering the business office productivity space dominated by Microsoft Office with the launch of an authorised reseller program for its online Google Apps Premier Edition for businesses. The Google Apps Premier Edition suite includes Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sites, Google Talk, and Google Video for business and is a paid subscription service.

Does anyone care about Office 14?

Sorry to disappoint those fans of MS Office who were hoping to see an Office 14 release ahead of the official Windows 7 arrival. According to some leaked Microsoft slides, it looks like that is not going to happen. Not that anyone actually cares, do they?
