Soyuz TMA-19 launches three to space station

On Tuesday, June 15, 2010 (U.S. time), the Russian Soyuz spacecraft TMA-19 launched one cosmonaut and one astronauts to the International Space Station.

NASA boss says: Let's go to Mars

NASA administrator Charles Bolden said that walking on the planet Mars by the 2030s is a good possibility if NASA is given a "reasonable and sustained" budget'”and if they use that money wisely.

Moon gets museum but probably not NASA astronauts

According to California, it has designated numerous objects left on the Moon in the 1960s and 70s as a state historical resource. Since it looks like U.S. astronauts won't be going to the Moon any time in the near future, articles left on the Moon will at least be protected from commercialism.

Hole as big as city block found on Moon

A Japanese led team of researchers has found a large, dark pit on the near side of the Moon that is "as big as a city block and deep as a modest skyscraper." Probably created billions of years ago, it is considered by the scientists to be a collapsed lava tube.

November 16, 2009 looks good for next shuttle launch

NASA is hoping for clear sailing on Monday as its space shuttle Atlantis crew prepares to launch for its mission delivering and installing spare parts to the International Space Station. The weather forecast predicts a 90% chance for acceptable launch conditions.
