Sky News Australia launches 24/7 channel

By

Sky News Australia in collaboration with Samsung TV Plus launches Sky News Now, a new 24/7 channel that will air the network’s news, opinion, and documentary on Samsung Smart TVs.

Samsung TV Plus claims it has a free ad-supporting streaming TV (Fast) service with over 90 channels growing.

Available on Channel 1010 from 23 March 2023, Sky News Now brings together content from across the network’s portfolio of channels including Sky News, Sky News Weather and Sky News Extra to create a new channel programmed exclusively for Samsung TV Plus Australian viewers.

“We look forward to bringing the Samsung TV watcher our exclusive line-up of Australia’s best commentators such as Peta Credlin, Andrew Bolt, Chris Kenny, Paul Murray, and the latest addition to our primetime schedule, Sharri Markson, as well as our roster of industry-leading journalists led by chief news Anchor Kieran Gilbert and political editor Andrew Clennell,” said Sky News Australia CEO Paul Whittaker.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Sky News Australia on their Fast channel to bring Samsung TV Plus audiences Sky News Now. Our growing audience has a huge appetite for live and local news commentary,” said Samsung TV plus head of business development Australia Daniel Palmisano.

Samsung TV Plus offers viewers 90+ live TV channels as well as thousands of movies and shows available live and on demand for free, on any connected Samsung smart TV model from 2017 onwards.

The full suite of premium Sky News content, including three 24/7 Sky News channels and the dedicated Fox News News channel, are available to watch live and on-demand on subscription television provider Foxtel and news streaming service Flash.
