SASE, is a cloud-based IT model that bundles software-defined networking with network security functions and delivers them from a single service provider.
Daiwabo (DIS) says the market is significantly affected by COVID-19, and the trend of digitalisation is accelerating, and as a result, cloud adoption is growing in various fields to improve infrastructure availability.
“On the other hand, this is overshadowed by the ongoing reliance on legacy network hardware and complex, static WAN architecture introduced in the past. Networks with centralised security gateways create traffic bottlenecks. It is important to configure a new network that adopts a cloud-type gateway and move to a network that efficiently distributes and offloads.”

To address these challenges, Versa integrates cloud and on-premise security, networking, and analytics within a single software operating system (Versa Operating System or VOS), and combines this with a single-path parallel processing architecture to improve performance, at the same time strengthening security, eliminating complexity, and increasing visibility of the entire network.
Under the collaboration, DIS will start handling VOS, which provides all functions, and Versa TITAN, which is simplified for small and medium-sized companies by limiting some functions.
For Versa TITAN, a product for these companies, DIS has contracted the only exclusive distributor in Japan.
DIS delivers the solutions provided by Versa to users nationwide through approximately 19,000 sales partners with a community-based sales system by a sales network of over 90 bases nationwide.
Kelly Ahuja, CEO at Versa Networks says: “DIS has continuously proven an ability to deliver reliable products and services through their nationwide network with a focus on contributing to the development of a modern, information-oriented society in harmony with the rest of the world. Versa is proud to work with DIS to deliver a leading-edge SASE (secure access service edge) solution, including SD-WAN, security, and analytics to companies and organizations nationwide.”
Tony Fallows, Vice President, Service Provider Worldwide Sales at Versa Networks said that “DIS demonstrates a strong focus on customer satisfaction, customer service, and trustworthy and sound management. Versa is excited to work with a company of the caliber of DIS to deliver services nationwide which meet and exceed the expectations of businesses across the country.”
Hiroyuki Matsumoto, President at Daiwabo Information System Co. says: “Japanese companies are committed to digital transformation and need the optimized enterprise cloud solution, both on-premises and in multi-cloud. We welcome to be able to provide Versa networks products to enable modern networking for the purpose of realizing this digital transformation.”
