Ricoh officially opens Centre of Technical Excellence

By

Print solutions and office equipment vendor Ricoh has officially opened its 5-star green star rated Centre of Technical Excellence in the Sydney suburb of Eastern Creek.

The centre, which first started operation in November last year, accommodates Ricoh Australia’s distribution centre and other national functions including a contact centre, technical response centre, technical support, workshops and technical training suites.

Over 100 Ricoh employees are based at the Eastern Creek facility which was officially opened yesterday, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Andrew Rohan MP, Member for Smithfield, representatives of property developer Jacfin and Ricoh executive management team, staff and customers.

“By centralising a number of core operations in this state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility, we believe we can provide a superior level of support and service to our customers in Australia,” said Les Richardson, Managing Director Ricoh Australia.

“This is a Centre of Technical Excellence using best practice technology combined with our strength in innovation and mission to provide customers with the best products and services.”

Ricoh’s National Run Up Centre is also located at Eastern Creek and, according to Richardson, “streamlines processes to reduce transportation impact on the environment while at the same time providing high quality configuration services to meet customer requirements.”
