In addition to a recent new office opening in Adelaide and the expansion of the company’s Brisbane office, PMT Security has appointed Rob Urpis as technical security manager, as well as Joanna Simpson as head of solution business development, and Andrew Kouimanis as partnerships and innovation manager.
Urpis joins the PMT leadership team after senior roles at Chubb and Teracom among others, and has a long and varied career history of growing security and technology companies across the world.
He is a qualified electrical engineer and holds many other certifications.

Joanna Simpson was previously general manager and head of technology at Certis, prior to which she was chief technology officer at Ultimate Security Australia.
Her career has spanned 25 years in technical leadership roles across fire, security, and facility management sectors.
Andrew Kouimanis has a storied career in the retail sector, specialising in risk reduction.
After two decades transforming the way that Coles considered crime and safety, Andrew moved to NZ-based retail crime specialists Auror, where he spent five years.
During that time, he was inducted into the Australian Retail Risk Hall of Fame.
The hires represent a new era of growth for PMT, following the recent addition of a new Communications Division and the company’s expanded presence in South Australia, Queensland, and the ACT.
