"Pendula has always followed a philosophy of retaining and utilising the minimum amount of data to provide our services. By bringing on-board security experts like Lance, we're looking to keep that philosophy central to what we do as we build and improve the Pendula platform for our clients," said Pendula CEO and founder Alex Colvin.
"A key focus for us, particularly as we prepare for global expansion, is to ensure we remain compliant with regulatory frameworks like the European Union's GDPR or the US HIPAA regulations. We'll be working with Lance and a team of external auditors to make sure the infrastructure we build is the best and most secure in our industry."

He previously worked as senior director of security architecture at Collibra, director of security engineering and operations at ServiceNow, and as a security architect at Commonwealth Bank.
Earlier in his career, Callaghan spent almost 12 years at Novell, most recently in the cloud presales team.
He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Technology Sydney, and a master's in networking and system administration from Charles Sturt University.
"I am thrilled to be joining an Australian software company that has the ambition to grow and become a true international brand," said Callaghan.
"From my years of experience working with international software companies, I understand that international growth requires infrastructure. As we grow we will meet the demands of multiple markets and regulatory requirements. I'm looking forward to building a team of talented security engineers to make this happen at Pendula."
