CDC finds unfavorable trend in teen smoking

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) article, from July 9, 2010, shows that 19.5% of high school students use cigarettes. The decline in the percentage of teen smokers was found to be slowing or leveling off over recent years.

Lettuce with E. coli attacks again

Lettuce is at the source of a May 2010 E. coli outbreak that has reached 23 states and the District of Columbia in the United States. The Associated Press reports that Freshway Foods has recalled the brands 'Freshway' and 'Imperial Sysco.'

CDC says half in U.S. have heart disease risk

According to an April 2010 report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 45% of the people of the United States have at least 1 of 3 chronic conditions that raises one's risk for heart disease.

One-third of births Cesarean in U.S.

According to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 32% of all births in 2007 were Cesarean deliveries'”the highest percentage reported in seventeen years.

Google hacked by a Dead Cow

The well-known Hackers’ group, Cult of the Dead Cow, recently announced the availability of a new tool called “Goolag Scanner.”  This encapsulates many of the Google hacks made popular by the well-known hacker Johnny I Hack Stuff.
