COMPANY NEWS: Genetec Inc. (“Genetec”), the global leader in enterprise physical security software, this week hosted The Hon. Mary Ng PC MP, the Canadian Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development at the Genetec Sydney Experience Centre.

During her visit to Genetec in Sydney, the Minister participated in a live demonstration of AutoVu Cloudrunner, a cloud-based vehicle-centric investigation system, and Genetec Security Center SaaS, a cloud-based physical security offering that unifies access control, video management, automation, and many other advanced security capabilities.

Opened in March 2024 in the presence of former High Commissioner of Canada to Australia, Mark Glauser, the Genetec Sydney Experience Centre is located within the city’s Tech Central Hub at 477 Pitt Street and features innovative solutions from Genetec and its partners. These include video management, access control, license plate recognition, Industrial IoTs and secure cloud services.

The facility also features a training space for Genetec customers and system integrator partners to obtain certifications on the platform.

Minister Ng spoke with Genetec Oceania Country Manager, George Moawad on the importance of the Canada - Australia trade agreement and acknowledged the role that Genetec is playing in supporting the bilateral relationship.

“Trade relations between Australia and Canada have developed into a strong partnership, particularly in the area of technology. Here at Genetec, we look forward to scaling our business operations in the region while continuing our ongoing product development to solve the most pressing physical security challenges among Australian public and private sector organisations,” said George Moawad. "We are delighted to have enjoyed the support of the Canadian government in our regional expansion into Asia and across New Zealand and the Pacific islands since launching operations in Australia in 2013.”
