Spark NZ confirms $22.7m TeamTalk takeover offer

New Zealand’s largest telco Spark has confirmed its takeover offer for network company TeamTalk for NZ$22.7 million with a formal offer to shareholders of 0.80 cents per share.

Networking solutions vendor Extreme Networks has inked an agreement to acquire the networking business of troubled telecommunications company Avaya for approximately US100 million.

Wholesale telecommunications and cloud services provider Inabox is to acquire Perth-based based managed IT and cloud services provider Logic Communications for $1.5 million.

Court temporaily halts Vodafone NZ-Sky TV merger

New Zealand’s High Court has temporarily halted the proposed merger of Vodafone New Zealand and satellite pay TV operator Sky TV, ordering a short-term stay to the deal in the event the New Zealand Commerce Commission gives its clearance to the merger on Thursday morning.

Telco Vocus has achieved record revenues and profits for the six months to the end of December last year on the back of the acquisitions of Nextgen and the M2 group of companies.
