SMES want government cuts to red tape

Australian small- and medium-sized businesses have called for government to introduce more small business-friendly policies, including the reduction of red tape, simplification of reporting processes and further business tax cuts.

A mixed bag for Australia’s battling SMEs

Australia’s small businesses are doing okay in a tough economic environment, but they are not out of the woods yet. While revenues for many have remained relatively stable, more small businesses are still reporting declining revenues than those enjoying revenue growth.
