Tangerine Telecom and amaysim win Mobile and Internet Provider of the Year at the 2021 WhistleOut Awards; Apple bags Phone of the Year

By

Telco providers Tangerine Telecom, amaysim, and tech giant Apple earned top recognition at this year’s 2021 WhistleOut Awards.

Tangerine Telecom and amaysim emerged as the biggest winners of the 2021 WhistleOut Awards, bagging the Mobile and Internet Provider of the Year.

Apple also bagged three home awards, including Phone of the Year for iPhone 12.

“If you’re searching for award winners that can actually save you money, then the WhistleOut Awards should be on your radar,” WhistleOut publisher Joseph Hanlon comments.

“The WhistleOut Awards focus on consistency and value for money, recognising the most outstanding and dependable telcos offering phone and internet plans,” Hanlon adds.

“Both Tangerine and amaysim won four separate awards, highlighting their value to consumers. People looking for a new NBN deal should see what Tangerine has to offer,” Hanlon explains. “Its approach of providing simple and affordable plans meant it nearly secured a clean sweep of all our NBN categories.

“amaysim shows a similar story. It has won multiple WhistleOut Award categories back-to-back. This speaks volumes about amaysim’s commitment to providing consumers with value and choice,” Hanlon says.

Hanlon says the WhistleOut Awards provides a reference point for people looking to find a new telco plan or device, and winning any of our categories is a rubber-stamped recommendation for being among the best providers in the country.

The WhistleOut Awards also recognise the best phones introduced over the last 12 months, including options for people on limited budgets and for those who can pay higher prices or are looking for special features.

Apple secured three awards, including the major Phone of the Year award for the iPhone 12, while Oppo won Manufacturer of the Year for the third consecutive year for its range of quality device options at all price points.
