This will be the first time TransACT has been able to provide wide-scale FTTP services to such home units.
"This agreement adds to TransACT's extensive FTTP coverage within the ACT, with many residents already connecting to TransACT's FTTP in the suburbs of Forde, Crace, Bonner and Franklin to take advantage of our next generation services," said TransACT CEO Ivan Slavich.
TransACT's FTTP services include up to 100Mbps ultra high speed broadband, telephony with free calls between TransACT customers, IPTV with over 60 channels, and the ability to bundle TransACT services with other utility services including electricity and natural gas.
TransACT recently launched its new "100% fibre" gateway in Forde (just north of the area covered by the new agreement) to provide voice, broadband, IPTV and radio frequency (RF) overlay products and services.
