Integrated security provider Certis Australia has appoined seasoned human resource practitioner Darryl Prince as as Senior Vice President of People and Transformation.

Certis says that in the role, Darryl Prince will lead the people division in Australia at a “pivotal time in the organisation’s growth journey, and further bolster the Australian leadership team”.

“With a commendable history of spearheading cultural and transformational initiatives, Prince brings to the table a wealth of experience in human resources, learning and development, and high-level stakeholder engagement. His commitment to a service-oriented philosophy is poised to fast-track the cultural evolution of Certis Australia, aligning with the company’s forward-thinking ethos,” notes Certis.

“Prince’s illustrious career has spanned several industries, notably making his mark in the hospitality industry with recognisable brands such as Accor, Sheraton, and the Four Seasons Hotel group within the Pacific region.

“Most recently, Darryl has spent the last 17 years playing a pivotal role in crafting human resources frameworks for a diverse team of over 200,000 at the ISS Group, driving culture and transformation initiatives across Australia, Asia, and Europe.”

Certis Australia Chief Executive Brett Pickens welcomed Darryl to the leadership bench, saying, "I have had the privilege of working closely with Darryl in the past during our time together at ISS. Having experienced first-hand his ability to drive both people and shared value transformation, I am confident he will bring that same passion and energy to Certis Australia.”

“Darryl’s extensive experience in creating and leading HR functions will also prove invaluable to the people team, as we undergo organisational shifts which require winning the hearts and minds of our employees, alongside accelerating towards our goal to become number one in Australia.”

Darryl Prince highlighted his alignment with Certis’ Purpose 'to make the world safer, smarter, and better’ as a key drawcard for taking on the role.

“With roots in hospitality, I take a service-led approach when addressing HR transformation. As the Certis’ team comprises mainly frontline workers in numerous locations across Australia, my primary focus will be on fostering stronger collaboration across teams to drive synergies under one unified community,” Prince said.

"Certis is a great organisation and I have seen from the outside how it invests in its people, upskilling the workforce and equipping them with the right skills and technology to set itself apart from other providers in the market.

“I’m heartened to be part of this journey to create the next step of change, to shape purpose and value so we can show how we impact the end-user experience and satisfaction. People are the catalyst for change and when a business is truly prepared to evolve, our people culture will need to shift as well. I look forward to collaborating with Certis’ leadership and the wider team to ensure we lay a foundation that sets us up for success,” Prince added.

Certis notes that as the Australian security industry shifts away from its transactional and traditional command-and-control models, the company emerges as a leader in driving this change with its technology-enabled workforce.

“The recent appointments of Darryl Prince and Brett Pickens signals a deliberate strategic investment to accelerate business transformation for Certis' Australian operations.

“With Darryl Prince spearheading people and transformation initiatives, Certis Australia is primed to enter a new era marked by growth, innovation, and a focus on driving a service culture across the organisation,” concluded Certis.
