Twitter domain management for MelbourneIT

Australian web hosting and domain name registrar, MelbourneIT, has snared a contract to manage the domain name portfolio for popular social networking site, Twitter.

More than half a million credit cards could have been compromised after unauthorised code was discovered on major merchant website host servers.

New technique used in ATO phishing attacks

Spammers have employed a new technique in their phishing attacks on the Australian Taxation Office website in an attempt to snatch tax refund details from users of the site doing their tax return online.

Opera gained fame for being a featured web browser that consumed a minimum of memory. It fit on a floppy disk, and it ran on mobile devices. Trying to regain a place in the spotlight, Opera announced it would be re-inventing the web. Now that its secret is out I am underwhelmed.

Webcentral clients: we still don't have mail

It's just after 2PM 30 April 2009 and, more than two days after the first complaints were first made, at least some clients of Australian web hosting service Webcentral still don't have their emails.

Web hosting services provider WebCentral has deployed VMware’s virtualization technology across its datacentres to provide ‘on demand’ services to customers and consolidate its server resources.
