Software AG Highlights Progress in Cloud Strategy

Software AG today announced the general availability of Software AG Cloud Ready, the latest solution in the company's cloud strategy. Software AG unveiled its strategy earlier in the year, embracing the vision of 'extreme collaboration' to help knock down the traditional barriers to collaboration between business and IT. Software AG Cloud Ready delivers on that strategy with a solution designed to provide modeling, process management, Service-Oriented Architecture and cloud integration offerings, improving processes faster and at a lower cost.

Software AG (Frankfurt TecDAX: SOW) has announced the full results for the third quarter and the first nine months of 2011. The figures confirm the preliminary quarterly results, published on October 18, 2011, and the significantly strong growth in (Business Process Excellence) BPE license revenue, up 37 per cent at constant currency rates. Both the associated increase in product revenue and the financial turnaround in the IDS Scheer Consulting business raised the EBIT margin by 110 basis points to 26.2 per cent in the third quarter. In the first nine months, Software AG's operating profit (EBIT according to IFRS) was increased by 10 per cent to €191.2 million (previous year €174.6 million). Reduced interest expenses and a constant tax rate increased net earnings during the year by 13 per cent to €125.3 million (previous year €111.0 million). Based on the 9-month results Software AG confirms its annual forecast for product revenue and profit growth.
