Software AG's Wooster shifting to Sydney

Software AG has announced that it has been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant by Gartner, Inc., a leading industry analyst firm, in its recently released Magic Quadrant for Business Process Analysis (BPA) Tools . Gartner defines BPA as the business modeling space in which business professionals and IT analysts collaborate on business architecture, transformation and improvement, including process analysis and design to support BP improvement initiatives.

Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools bring business value by integrating, analysing and communicating structured and unstructured information about a wide range of aspects of the organisation. With the ARIS platform, Software AG delivers a feature-rich tool set well known for its long-standing leadership in EA and Business Process Analysis (BPA).

Software AG has unveiled its latest Process Improvement Accelerator, Prime. Prime accelerates business optimisation and automation projects based on specific industry requirements or cross-industry topics such as compliance, supply chain management (SCM) or customer relationship management (CRM) initiatives, resulting in better time-to-value.

Software AG (Frankfurt TecDAX: SOW) has announced the full results for the third quarter and the first nine months of 2011. The figures confirm the preliminary quarterly results, published on October 18, 2011, and the significantly strong growth in (Business Process Excellence) BPE license revenue, up 37 per cent at constant currency rates. Both the associated increase in product revenue and the financial turnaround in the IDS Scheer Consulting business raised the EBIT margin by 110 basis points to 26.2 per cent in the third quarter. In the first nine months, Software AG's operating profit (EBIT according to IFRS) was increased by 10 per cent to €191.2 million (previous year €174.6 million). Reduced interest expenses and a constant tax rate increased net earnings during the year by 13 per cent to €125.3 million (previous year €111.0 million). Based on the 9-month results Software AG confirms its annual forecast for product revenue and profit growth.

Software AG has announced the launch of webMethods 8.2 and ARIS 7.2. These are the first major product releases taking advantage of the newly-integrated webMethods (business process management) and ARIS (business process analysis) platforms. Together, this joint release will give companies and government agencies greater ability to align IT operations with business objectives, empower more BPM stakeholders, simplify deployments and upgrades, and benefit from recent technological advances in software development.

The reported revenue increase of 32% (26% at constant currency) also benefitted from the weakness of the euro.

Software AG and the Kneipp Group have reached the next milestone in their long-term collaboration on a strategic project for implementing process-driven IT transformation. The Product Launch segment of Kneipp's main business processes that was modelled using ARIS has been migrated into webMethods Suite, Software AG's product line for business process management, and is now automated. ARIS is a modeling software for business processes from IDS Scheer AG, and Software AG has been working on integrating ARIS and webMethods since acquiring that company last year. Thus the project with the Kneipp Group represents an important milestone in the integration of both product lines.
