PNY launches XLR8 extreme performance gaming DDR5 RAM in ANZ

By

PNY Technologies is increasing its local push with today's arrival of the highly acclaimed extreme performance XLR8 gaming and performance DDR5 desktop memory into Australia and New Zealand.

PNY has released its MAKO DDR5 desktop memory down under, coming at clock speeds of 6000MHz and 6200MHz. Both are low-profile options coming in at only 32mm tall, and offering a greater amount of headroom over other memory options.

Both models feature aluminium heat spreaders with elements inspired by the powerful, fast, and aggressive Mako shark - from where their name derives. The chips have been designed solidly with gamers and enthusiasts in mind.

They are backwards compatible with lower frequencies of 5600MHz, 5200MHz, and 4800MHz. The MAKO DDR5 6200MHz is also backwards compatible with 6000MHz frequencies. They also support on-die ECC debugging of self-correcting DRAM data for greater stability, and both come in 16GB and 32GB (2x16GB) options.

The MAKO DDR5 6000MHz has a CAS latency of 38/36, 1.3V, with Intel XMP 3.0 support. The MAKO DDR5 6200MHz has a CAS latency of 42, 1.3V, with XMP 3.0 support.

“PNY has made a serious commitment to Australia and New Zealand in terms of launching new products such as the new PNY XLR8 Gaming and Performance DDR5 Desktop Memory. These exciting new products provide a dynamic, extreme performance experience for gamers, modders and enthusiasts alike. The new modules also provide a superior computing experience thanks to the aggressive overclocking, heat spreader and XMP 3.0 support, delivering PNY’s fastest speeds, highest bandwidth and lowest latencies. These, in turn, maximise PC stability and responsiveness during memory-intensive gaming and application use,” said Kevin Chang, product manager, PNY.

PNY offers other DDR5 RAM options - such as its PNY Performance DDR5 - for PC users who don't require the flair, out-of-the-box overclocking, aluminium heat spreader, or RGB illumination of the MAKO line.

PNY tests its RAM rigorously with motherboard partners including ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, and MSI, to ensure extensive compatibility and the most stable but aggressive overclocking possible.

The RAM also includes a limited lifetime warranty.

PNY Performance DDR5 MAKO DDR5 6000MHz desktop memory and the MAKO DDR5 6200MHz desktop memory are available now from all authorised PNY XLR8 resellers across Australia and New Zealand at these retail prices:
