US-based mobility products manufacturer Orbic has debuted in Australia, launching the Orbic TAB8 4G on Telstra prepaid and the Orbic TAB10R 4G. The company has a vision of providing value-conscious consumers with meaningful features and benefits.

Orbic has landed in Australia, announcing two devices will be available this holiday season - the Orbic TAB8 4G 8" HD TFT tablet with 4GX data speeds, and the TAB10R 4G 10" ruggedised tablet with HD TFT and stylus support. Orbic also announced it is partnering with Roadhound Electronics, Australia's longest-operating and largest privately owned national distributor and service provider of mobile phones and tablets. Roadhound is based in Newcastle and offers complete end-to-end customer support and product distribution for Orbic in Australia.

The Orbic TAB8 4G features 4GX data speeds on the Telstra 4G network, and the Orbic TAB10R 4G will be available at Mobileciti and Leader Computer Group.

“We’re incredibly excited to launch the Orbic® TAB8 4G with Australia’s largest carrier Telstra and the Orbic® TAB10R 4G with Smartmatic. This is the beginning of many new 4G and 5G products that we will be bringing to Australian consumers and businesses,” said Orbic EVP global strategy and operations Danny Adamopoulos. “We are a disruptor brand that puts the consumer’s needs at the heart of our product design, and we offer devices that encompass our core value of delivering meaningful features and experiences, combined with responsible sourcing of materials and supporting local business mantra.”

The Orbic TAB8 4G features include:

  • Easy to carry anywhere – The Orbic TAB8 4G offers super-fast connectivity, packed into a portable 8-inch powerhouse tablet for entertainment and social media. Keep up with the latest security updates and have total peace of mind knowing that your Orbic TAB8 4G runs on the latest Android 12 operating system.
  • Stay connected longer – The Orbic TAB8 4G features a powerful, long-lasting battery that lets you take on the day’s tasks with confidence. Recharge in minutes with Quick Charge 2.0.
  • Entertainment wherever you are - Enjoy movies and games on the immersive 8" HD display. Watch, play and enjoy all your favourite shows, games or reading materials, while the comfortable compact form factor helps keep your hands from getting tired, even when you've been watching or playing for hours.
  • Smile, snap, post - For selfies, videos and group pics, and even cute pet videos, the Orbic TAB8 4G features a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, and with 4G connectivity, keeping your friends updated is now easier than ever.

The Orbic TAB8 4G will be available at Telstra starting 29 November and will be available to purchase for $149 on Telstra prepaid.

The Orbic TAB10R 4G has been launched in partnership with Smartmatic, a multinational company that designs and deploys technology solutions to help governments deliver efficient, transparent elections for their citizens. The Orbic TAB10R 4G tablets will be deployed in upcoming elections and will be available for retail from Mobileciti and Leader Computer Group in December 2022 for $429.

Smartmatic Australia director Spiros Nikolakopoulos said, “we selected the Orbic TAB10R 4G as it provided the battery life, performance, and ruggedness essential to delivering solutions to our government customers. Combined with the Smartmatic suite of elections software, it delivers an industry-leading solution.”
