Ausconnex launches dark fibre service

By

Ausconnex, Australian electrical infrastructure and equipment specialist, launched its dark fibre service, offering secure, high-speed communication and data transfer for businesses wanting to connect to Greater Western Sydney.

Ausconnex says its dark fibre service is tailored for telecommunications providers, data centre operators and other businesses that need to operate private, stable and secure point-to-point communications connections.

“Ausconnex dark fibre service delivers a ready-made and easy-to-use dedicated telecommunication and data transfer solution that's tailored to your immediate needs," said Ausconnex general manager Peter Hanley.

“With fibre optic cable already in place, each new customer connection simply involves the installation of a fibre tail at each end to connect to the existing network.

“This secure and stable point-to-point connection delivers 99.995% target availability with the additional peace of mind provided by multiple physically discrete back-up connection paths," he said.

With further network expansion underway, Hanley said Ausconnex’s dark fibre network provides customers with the best of both worlds.

“Ausconnex has access to over 1,000km of fibre as well as 430,000 poles and structures spanning 60,600km across Greater Western Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Illawarra and the South Coast.

“Our service can grow with your business, offering the flexibility to increase bandwidth and upgrade capacity at any time.”

Hanley said that Ausconnex's dark fibre service is attracting significant interest, “With years of experience, we're excited to bring our deep expertise in electrical services, equipment supply and asset management to the telecommunications industry.

“Initial interest among prospective customers had been strong and we look forward to connecting our first customers in the coming months.

"We believe in building long term relationships and working collaboratively with our customers to help them address their infrastructure needs and challenges.

"We're more than just infrastructure, offering customers peace of mind, with a team of experts on hand 24/7/365 to support you on your data journey.
