Looi is Lancom's new CPTO

By

Software and technology provider Lancom Technology has appointed Chong Looi to the new role of chief product / technology officer.

"I'm excited to welcome Chong Looi to the Lancom Technology team," said Lancom Technology chief executive Waruna Kirimetiyawa.

"We've been growing for several years now, continuing to expand our client base. At the same time we've also been introducing new products like our CSP portal and doubling down on existing offerings like cloud services. With this growth comes the need to ensure our product offering remains strategically aligned.

"Chong is highly regarded across the IT industry and he has a wealth of experience spanning both multi-nationals and start-ups. This expertise places him in good stead to lead on our product strategy, helping us enhance our already strong offering. Welcome onboard Chong."

Looi joins Lancom Technology from technology start-up AportioTechnologies, where he served as chief digital officer.

He previously worked at Datacom as ANZ general manager of Datacom cloud services, and at Dimension Data as general manager of NZ managed services.

Earlier in his career he held various service delivery roles at Axon Computer Systems and Carter Holt Harvey.

Looi holds a diploma of higher education from Brunel University (UK) and undertook postgraduate studies in business administration at the University of Auckland.
