Under the deal, OVO — which uses the Optus network — and Gymnastics Australia have combined to offer OVO customers access to live streaming of Gymnastics Australia events on their mobiles, including the 2016 Australian Gymnastics Championships starting on 23 May, plus access to training and performance content via both the Gymnastics Australia website and the OVO Play app – free of mobile data costs.
Gymnastics Australia chief executive Mark Rendell said: “We’re excited to have a sponsorship partner that contributes value directly back to the members of our clubs through quality and affordable mobile plans, plus data-free access to the sport they are really passionate about.”
OVO chief executive Matt Jones said, “Mark and the team at Gymnastics Australia really understand their members and their audience, and have set about identifying a partner that could help engage, educate and entertain them. Therefore growing participation in gymnastics at a grassroots level through delivering a combination of gymnastics content and mobile access that is affordable for all. This is a mutually beneficial activity for OVO, Gymnastics Australia and the gymnastics community as a whole.”

Reinventing the traditional telecommunications model, OVO provides data-free allowances for the consumption of entertainment and 'OVO content’ for sports and entertainment fans, in addition to generous data allowances for everyday use and unlimited national calls and SMS in Australia.”
