iPhone Friday Featured

By

Apple has confirmed that the iPhone 5s and 5c will go on sale in Australia this Friday.

The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, announced last week to a less enthusiastic reception than we have come to expect, will go on sale in Australia and 10 other countries this Friday, 20 September 2013.

The new handsets will be available at Apple Stores from 8am that day.

It remains to be seen whether the traditional overnight queues will occur - and if they do, whether they are as long as those for previous iPhone releases.

Apple's 'Personal Setup' service will be offered to all customers buying a new iPhone from an Apple Store.

Apple will also start taking orders for the iPhone 5s and 5c at the Apple Online Store from 2:01am on Friday.

Both models will also be available from through Telstra, Optus, Vodafone and "select" Apple authorised resellers, according to an Apple spokesperson.

Recommended prices for the iPhone 5s are $869 (16GB), $999 (32GB) and $1,129 (64GB). The iPhone 5c costs $739 (16GB) and $869 (32GB), plus $48 for the optional case.
