New analysis suggests "remote working and distance learning amid an ongoing pandemic" is seeing continued increasing global demand for PCs. After a sharp fall in the first quarter of 2020, global PC shipments have grown by the end of the last year, however, not all market segments have performed the same amid the COVID-19 crisis.

1m user universe for Galaxy Tab by year's end?

Samsung says it expects to sell 1 million Galaxy Tabs by the end of the year, and while far short of the iPad's sales, is the first major, global 7-inch competitor to emerge, and even though it's running Android 2.2, which is not yet tablet-optimised, it's different to an iPad yet works just like a giant smartphone and crucially, in a sea of so-called iPad competitors, is actually available.
