US Commerce Secretary pledges open Internet

The US Commerce Secretary has pledged support for a ‘free and open’ Internet.

Although The Greens have consistently opposed the Internet Filter, the Liberals have until now seemed to be somewhat ambivalent in their opposition.  This appears to be changing.

Greens warn Gillard over internet filter

The Greens have ratcheted up pressure on Prime Minister Julia Gillard to dump the controversial internet filtering policy ahead of the looming Federal election, saying it is one policy the ALP will regret taking into the poll.
