Ciena making ‘strategic acquisitions’ in fibre broadband access with Tibit and Benu Networks
Networking systems, services and software company, Ciena, has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Tibit Communications, Inc., a privately-held company headquartered in Petaluma, California, and acquired Benu Networks, Inc., a privately-held company headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Ciena reports ‘solid revenue, profitability’ for first quarter 2021
Global networking systems, services and software company Ciena has reported first quarter 2021 revenue of US$757.1 million, compared to US$832.9 million for the fiscal first quarter last year.

NextDC selects Ciena, OTW for data centre connection project
Data centre provider NEXTDC is partnering with networking systems, services and software company Ciena to deploy Ciena’s Data Centre Interconnect (DCI) platform to connect its data centres and provide cloud and computing services to support its customers across Australia.
