Over 90% of identified unsafe product listings were removed within two business days by online businesses signed up to the Australian Product Safety Pledge, according to Australia’s competition and consumer watchdog the ACCC.
The ACCC is examining competition and consumer concerns with general online retail marketplaces such as eBay Australia, Amazon Australia, Kogan and Catch.com.au as part of its inquiry into digital platform services in Australia.
eBay Australia, in partnership with Sendle, says business owners on its platform can schedule a parcel pickup from the comfort of their own homes or office without printing a postage label. This new feature, says eBay Australia, “makes sending and selling easier.”
