ACL goes from Christians to Cat Ladies

A plucky group of feminists have claimed the Australian Christian Lobby domain name after it expired last week, transforming it into a cat paradise.

The Australian Christian Lobby is at it again, leaping on comments today by Home Affairs Minister Brendan O'Conner that the introduction of an R18+ Classification for interactive entertainment would boost jobs in this country.  According to the ACL the pro 18+ classification camp doesn't know what it wants.  The truth however, is the ACL cannot seem to cope with multiple positive reasons for a rating system refresh.

R18+ for games means more sex and gore?

The Christian Lobby believes the argument for the introduction of an R18+ Classification for video games is being spun into a pro-child protection requirement.  The fear is that once Australia has a new R18+ Classification for interactive entertainment that the market will be flooded with all manner of smut and extreme material.  Do they have a point?
